Your Perfect SOA Quiver: The All-New Scott 2027 Range Lands at Sea Otter Australia

Scott Bikes is bringing its all-new 2027 range to Sea Otter Australia, and there’s a bike in it for every discipline you’re racing this October.

Four brand-new models, one for XC, one for downcountry, one for gravel, and one that bridges them all! Call it your Sea Otter quiver!

Here’s what’s landing on the Scott stand, and how each one fits your weekend.

The Addict Gravel — built for the Fondo

Heading out on the MAXXIS Effervelo Gravel Fondo? The Addict Gravel is Scott’s answer to longer, rougher gravel days. It takes tyres up to 57mm wide (it ships with 50mm as standard), so it handles more than smooth fire roads, and Scott has dialled up comfort significantly over the last generation: 30% more compliance up front and up to 60% more out back, so the miles don’t beat you up the way they used to.

It’s available in seven sizes, from XXS to XXL, and the lighter build comes in under 8kg. Storage is built into the frame, so your tube, pump, and tyre levers travel with you without a saddle bag flapping around.

Already landed with Scott’s dealer network, so it’s ready to see now.

The Spark RC — built for XC race day

Scott’s flagship Cross-Country race bike just got a full ground-up redesign, and it’s the bike behind the SCOTT-SRAM World Cup team. If you’re lining up for the THULE Marathon or Shimano XC Crit, this is the one to look at.

The whole frame is built around keeping weight low and centred. The frame kit weighs just 1,427g, and the shock sits low in the chassis, which means more stability through corners and less of the high-speed “chatter” that costs you traction when you’re pushing hard into a turn. Scott’s own accessories brand, Syncros, supplies the new carbon-spoked wheels and integrated cockpit, and there’s an onboard multi-tool built into the frame so you’re never caught out mid-race.

Eight models in the range, all full carbon.

The Spark DC — the one for everything else

Not every ride at SOA is a race. The Spark DC is Scott’s new downcountry bike, built for exactly that: exploring Mogo Trails at your own pace, on a bike that’s light enough to climb all day and capable enough to have fun on the way down. Scott’s own tagline for it says it best: stack moments, not medals.

It runs an all-new suspension design with 138mm of travel, a magnetic tool-free frame cover so you can get into your storage and shock without carrying tools, and an adjustable headset so you can tune the handling to how you like to ride. If you’re at SOA for the weekend and want one bike that covers the trail riding, the pub trail, and everything in between, this is it.

Five models, starting from $5100

The Strike — one eMTB, three race days

The Strike is Scott’s eMTB, and it’s the one bike in the range with genuine reach across three separate SOA disciplines: the SMITH Optics Enduro, Fox Superflow®, and eOtterX – Bosch ePowered. If you’re riding an eMTB at SOA this year, this is the bike to know.

It runs a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, up to 750W peak power and 600% assistance, so the climbs stop being the price you pay for the descents. Battery is 800Wh as standard, and with 150mm of travel front and rear it’s built to handle gravity terrain, not just fire trails. The frame is alloy, built to take a hit, and the battery pulls out easily for charging between runs.

Four models in the range.

Scott Flipper Kids Racing — no bike, no problem

Scott isn’t just bringing bikes for the grown-ups. As naming rights partner of Scott Flipper Kids Racing, running all three festival days, Scott is bringing a demo fleet of kids’ bikes to the Pedal and Play zone so any child can jump on and race, even if they’ve never brought a bike of their own.

If your kid turns up without a bike, or theirs doesn’t quite fit anymore, there’ll be one waiting for them at Pedal and Play. It’s the easiest way to find out if your child’s ready to race, without buying a bike first.

Win one. Or win one for the kids.

Scott is giving away five bikes across the Sea Otter Australia weekend, and one of them is the exact bike you just read about.

Adult giveaway — Scott Sports Spark RC Comp, $4,500 RRP. Visit a Scott activation at Sea Otter Australia, 23–25 October, scan the QR code, and you’re in the draw.
