Walbunja Rangers

The Walbunja Rangers are a dedicated Aboriginal ranger team caring for Walbunja Country across the Batemans Bay region. Combining traditional cultural knowledge with contemporary land and sea management practices, the Rangers undertake cultural burning, threatened species monitoring, weed and pest management, cultural heritage protection, biodiversity surveys and community education. Their work strengthens connection to Country, creates meaningful employment and training opportunities for Walbunja people, and supports the long-term protection of Country, culture and community.
