Get ready for electrifying action with the eOtterX – Bosch ePowered!
This is a brand-new eBike race format that’s guaranteed to thrill. Four riders line up for a head-to-head battle on a technical lap, right in the heart of the Sea Otter Australia Event Hub. This race was created by the Huntingtons – if you know this racing, shredding, World-travelling power-couple and family, you know you’re in for a treat. If you don’t – you’ll get to race them on the custom-built track at Sea Otter Australia, designed by Rocky Trail’s Race Director Bob Morris and Randal Huntington.
Riders will be seeded via a time trial, then thrown into a knockout format where only the fastest advance.
Expect elbows-out racing, exciting features to conquer, and the ultimate test of rider skill and eBike performance. This high-octane spectacle will be a crowd favourite as we crown the eOtter Four Cross champion!

Bosch eOtter x FAQ’s
Bosch eOtter MX Format
4 Rider Head To Head, Multiple Obstacles On Short Track, Fastest Moves Forward!
The race course will be approximately 500m long and consist of technical features with multiple line choices.
- Features will be spaced making it almost impossible to exceed 25km/h.
- Start area will be 4m across (Min).
- Each Moto (Individual Round) will consist of 4 riders racing head to head.
- Riders will be seeded into first round Motos based on Race Directors discretion.
- The Race Director may use results from Rocky Trail races, state and national championships, coin toss or date of entry.
All riders must wear suitable body protection including a full face helmet.
Knockout Rounds
- At the completion of the first round of Motos, riders will progress to Round 2 so a Round 1 Moto winner will not compete against another Round 1 Moto winner.
- At the end of Round 2 Moto, riders will progress into Round 3 based on seeding from the first 2 Moto rounds.
- At the completion of Round 3 the top 8 (or 16) riders will be seeded into the knockout rounds. If there are multiple riders with the same results (i.e. same pts) an extra qualifying moto may be staged.
- In each knockout the first 2 riders progress to the next round until there are four riders left who will compete in the final.
