Our Mt Wandera Adventure Shuttle takes you to the summit of the new Burnaaga [Goanna] Wilderness Trail, where you’ll begin a thrilling almost 30km journey filled with adrenaline-fueled descents, amazing views and unique natural features to conquer.
Please note that the Burnaaga Trail is designed for well-experienced riders who possess good endurance and can confidently navigate challenging obstacles. The trail is rated blue and is recommended for highly experienced gravity and adventure riders only.
This isn’t just a trail; it’s a 29km, 962-vertical-meter descent into the soul of this land. It has 406vm of climbing that will test your endurance, a true wilderness adventure. From the breathtaking summit of Mt Wandera, the Burnaaga Trail [Goanna in the local Dhurga Language] is a promise of epic flow and raw beauty that culminates in the welcoming embrace of Mogo Town. This exposed adventure demands respect; rated as a blue track it’s for the highly experienced, the gravity-fueled, the adventure-seekers who understand the call of the wild.

Essential Information
- Meeting Point: Ride Mogo – 14 Charles Street Central Mogo. Please park at the Mogo Oval and cycle across to the shop.
- Arrive 15 mins prior to your scheduled departure time
- Start Time: 2 options per day 7:15am and 09:30am
- Who – Intermediate to Advanced riders – Highly experienced and adventure riders only.
- Pricing: $85
- What to bring – small back pack, food and drink and mosquito repellent.
What You Need To Know
- You must carry spare parts and a basic first aid kit with snake bandages are recommended.
- Protective gear is recommended.
- You must carry enough water / hydration for the entire trip back to Mogo.
- Mobile reception is available on the majority of the trail (depending on your mobile phone carrier).
- Mogo Trails uses the ‘These three words’ system for emergency services. Download the Emergency Plus app on your phone prior to departure. Please also see the Mogo Trails website for emergency procedures.
- It is essential to complete your waiver form and show the driver it has been completed. We cannot allow passengers to get in the vehicle until we have seen the waiver is signed
- Note that the trail is 2 way from the bottom of the Snake Track (the junction of Maulbrooks Road and Sandy Pinch Road) for the last 12km into Mogo so be alert for other riders
