Located at the heart of the world-class Mogo Trails and the stunning Batemans Bay, this isn’t just an event; it’s a global cycling assembly. Built on the DNA of the iconic California original, Sea Otter Australia brings together the “pinner,” the “pro,” and the “weekend warrior” for five days of unadulterated “Participation-First” energy.
Over the last 4 years, our owners have poured their passion for bikes into planning and building the Mogo Trails network, ensuring it offers a progressive and inclusive riding experience for everyone, from beginners to pros. This vision for accessibility is at the very core of Sea Otter Australia – and its why we are bringing the inaugural Festival to Mogo Trails. We are creating a festival where everyone feels welcome and can find their place in the world of cycling.
The FEstival
We envision a vibrant playground for all.
Whether you’re hunting podiums at Mogo Trails in gravity and enduro, pushing limits in gravel and marathon, or taking your first pedal strokes in our junior and race in adaptive categories, we’ve designed a “race or ride for everyone, every day.” Beyond the tape, we deliver a massive expo, which also extends to a bustline industry networking hub and tradeshow as well as Summit to connect YOU with the world’s leading brands. Our shuttled social shred sessions at Mogo Trail’s 29km Burnaaga Adventure Track and at Narooma Trails ensure the entire South Coast becomes YOUR playground.
Beyond the races, the Event Hub will be a buzzing paradise, offering free access and activities for younger children, opportunities to meet cycling heroes, and over 200 brands showcasing the latest gear. We’re integrating social rides, skills clinics, and even a “MTB Museum” to foster a love for cycling across all ages. This isn’t just about putting Australia on the world cycling map; it’s about creating a lasting legacy for the sport, enriching the NSW South Coast, and ensuring that Sea Otter Australia truly is a festival for all.

A Global Legacy establishing roots in Australia
Sea Otter Australia is about to become your new must-attend cycling event in Australia, bringing together the best of bike racing, industry showcases, expo, demos, summit and trail adventures in one epic week in October.
Rocky Trail Entertainment is one of Australia’s major private mountain bike event organisers. We secured the rights to establish the Sea Otter Event in Australia, which will be the first and only one of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. It is now one of only two licensed Sea Otter events in the World outside of the US alongside Sea Otter Europe in Girona Spain.
Our commitment extends beyond the bikes. Rocky Trail is driven by a deep conviction that Sea Otter Australia will be a catalyst for regional economic growth, attracting significant tourism and establishing a lasting legacy for the sport.
