Gwiyaala Aboriginal Art

Bronwen Smith and Gavin Chatfield local indigenous artist from the south coast of Batemans Bay.
Gwiyaala has been established now for 11 years with achievements of working with Lowes men’s wear city of Sydney Council, exhibitions at Boomarli aboriginal art gallery also featured on channel 10 program for the national indigenous art, fair held every year at circular Quay and many more other art achievements.

Their artwork depicts the local surroundings and the flora and fauna amongst their country.
Their art is very colourful and bright showcasing the colours of the Batemans Bay region. Bronwens family are one of many families that are traditional custodians of the local area while Gavin is a wiradjuri man born and raised on the south coast.

They love painting their art and being able to tell stories about here and now.
